Rural company’s unique expertise wins all-Wales contract

Telemat, Antur Teifi’s IT specialist team has recently been awarded the contract to provide IT support for all Assembly Members in Wales. The team at Telemat will service the National Assembly for Wales’ IT Department by providing on-site support to the IT equipment used by staff and Assembly Members at each of the constituency offices throughout Wales.

Clive Davies, Telemat’s Operations Managers believes that understanding the unique requirements of users of IT in rural areas and their ability to adapt their working practices to suit the needs of clients is a major factor in this recent success.

He said “We’re very pleased to secure this contract. It’s an endorsement of our team’s ability as a trusted provider of on-site IT services across Wales. This has also been recognised by the awarding of the Comp TIA Accredit + UK Trustmark accreditation we have received recently – for the second year running”.

The CompTIA Trustmark programme provides recognition of current work and processes and also supports continued improvement and guidance to businesses in order to stimulate growth. The accreditation was awarded to Telemat for their ability to develop and deliver excellent ICT solutions and services to their customers and will be instrumental in supporting the business achieve its growth target of 20% over the next five years.

As part of social enterprise Antur Teifi, Telemat provide IT services to organisations ranging from start-ups to large established businesses, charities and the public sector.

Having 15 offices throughout mid and west Wales means that Telemat is well placed to respond quickly to AM’s urgent IT needs.
