Based in Pembrokeshire, near St David’s, Quality Cottages provides top of the range holiday properties all over Wales.Quality is a theme that runs through every aspect of this organisation. Every property is inspected by a company representative before it is included in their portfolio. This is done every year. Fewer than 10% of properties viewed make it to the catalogue.
Mr Leonard Rees, the Managing Director, applies the same strict practices to staff and suppliers. Telemat went through a rigorous interviewing procedure prior to being awarded the contract to supply and support the ICT for the company. The organisation has been trading from it’s beautiful location for over 40 years. The offices are actually situated in the old farm buildings in an area that Mr Rees’ family have farmed for over 600 years.
The offices house a Telesales area where the dedicated staff enjoy broadband access and dual screen monitors implemented by Telemat.Indeed, the first few months of our relationship with Quality Cottages were spent modernising the IT system. Mr Rees was fully aware that he was paying for the best and wanted it! We ensured that his investment was paying dividends.
We are constantly aware that every organisation relies on data. To this end we employ a ‘belts and braces’ philosophy to back ups and security. This mantra is mirrored by Quality Cottages. We have instigated failover systems and this is supported by Quality Cottages’ exemplary working practices. The server room is a real eye opener!
We have implemented an unique Support service for Quality Cottages. As the sales office is operational from 8am to 8pm and at weekends, we have put in place a callout system for support outside normal office hours.
